Can we create a positive message that will reach our audience in a genuine way this summer, so we may expand our brand online.

Question: How can we reach a whole new target audience by leveraging our current target audience. We would like to expand our brand message in a positive way this summer by giving something back to our followers. We want to do something nice and positive this summer.
 
Solution: By using the feeling that most people have when they think of the summer we aimed to get a positive message across. We created a campaign that literally put a smile on someone’s face. By creating a platform where al smiles could be shared we made this summer just a little more positive. We were able to show the positive mindset that IGO-POST has in their business.
 

Timing is everything, especially when you have a positive message.

Insights: It seems like a no-brainer. Everybody smiles when they think of summer
and their holidays. It gets you in a generous sharing mood. Our research showed us that the target audience sharing behavior changes during summer months. Where in the winter people share more want to haves, and personal or social stories. When summer is close people start sharing feel good stories. You can see it by what people search on Google, or on Youtube’s trends. We used these insights in our campaign aiming to trigger a social response that evoked a positive reaction. A smile amongst friends is worth a lot.
 
Using the insights: We created a platform where you can upload a positive picture of yourself and share it with your friends to wish them a great summer. It was designed to be mobile first since, smartphones are the most likely to be used to make and upload the smile picture that was taken. By showing all uploaded smiles across Europe on a map we showed that something positive was happening this summer, inspiring others to share their smile as well. This way we could show that the universal positive message shared through a smile creates connection.
